Since we're nearing the release date of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (21st August) new clips have been posted online to help gear us up for the fantasy action adventure film. The movie, based on the first book of The Mortal Instruments series written by Cassandra Clare, follows Clary Fray (played by Lily Collins) a seemingly normal teenager who discovers that she is in fact a shadowhunter, (half-angel, half-human warriors) and that her mother (Lena Headey) has been taken, forcing her to band together with Jace Wayland (Jamie Campbell Bower) and others in order to rescue her, and battle forces which she can barely comprehend. Let's hope that the film lives up to the expectations of its fans who hope it can do the novel justice on the big screen. Below are some of the new clips from the film:
The clip above, sees Clary get introduced to a world she never thought existed and shows her trying to discover herself and master her new found powers. If the new clips (more links below) are anything to go by, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones looks set to be an action packed adventure ride, fingers crossed it can exceed the high standards set by fans, movie critics and novel enthusiasts alike. As is custom, interviews have kicked into hyper-mode, and here is one of the latest from Lily Collins, and the rest of the cast being interviewed by Girlfriend Magazine talking about similarities between Lily Collins and her character, jokes on the set, their opinions on the movie and the pressure from the fans to live up to their expectations.
