Zedd - Stay The Night ft. Hayley Williams (Official Music Video) [+ Review]

With the music video (scroll down to watch) released just yesterday, the new track from electro-house musician and DJ, Zedd, 

features none other than the female rocker Hayley Williams (who you may know from Paramore) and has garnered quite a lot of interest already. The track, produced by the German-Russian Musician (who has previously collaborated with Foxes and Matthew Koma) features edgy vocals from Williams, piano accompaniment from Zedd, and electro-house beats incorporated as well.

 

It's not what you might expect or imagine, but the end result is a rather catchy infusion which uses repetition in the chorus 'are you going to stay the night/are you going to stay the night' to add an appropriate hook to the track, which you may find yourself unable to stop singing along to after a couple of listens (whether you want to or not). 

The music video sees Williams adorned in white attire, with her signature red hair colour and red lipstick while the video cross cuts between Hayley, another man and another woman who engage in a type of pursuit. The MV possesses a type of hazy, white hue with multiple lights featured in the actual piece which give the video a vibrant, energetic feel and the narrative of the video ties in well with the track. 

The clever decision to add Williams to this piece will no doubt result in this track being another hit for Zedd, following on from the acclaimed 'Clarity' song with Foxes; Williams manages to hold together the different genres of music in the piece and her voice compliments the track beautifully. If you've heard of the aforementioned song this new release will no doubt be well-suited and it's certain that fans of Hayley Williams will rack up the view count on YouTube, so watch above if this sounds like your sort of thing!
