Krewella - Live For The Night

American electronic dance music group Krewella (consisting of singer/songwriter sisters Jahan Yousaf & Yasmine Yousaf and producer Kris Trindl) have recently released the music video for their song: Live For The Night. The track channels an upbeat, electro vibe with vocals from Yasmine and Jahan, and focuses on 'living for the night' and enjoying life and having fun.

The song could be described as a bit of a dance anthem which incorporates elements of dubstep and electronic beats. Overall, the track is most definitely alive and spirited and would be suitable for anyone who is looking for a fun, upbeat and easy to dance to track, it's not for someone seeking out any sort of deeper level of complexity as far as the lyrics are considered, which is what you want in a dance track.

As far as the music video is concerned, I actually quite enjoyed watching it. First off, adhering to the genre of the track, the video contains a lot of dancing, raving and partying, which is suitable and intrinsic with the song. The theme of the 'zombie-esque' people coming to life in a way with the music was interesting to see develop on screen, and the visuals and incorporation of technology and the possible connotations you could make from that are intriguing. (No idea what I'm on about? Watch the video above!)

(also, nice Deathly Hallows tattoo, Yasmine)

I enjoyed the use of lighting and thought the edits in the video to change the pace and visuals accurately represented Krewella as a group, so I'm sure fans will be pleased with the outcome. The video faintly echoes a type of apocalyptic rave, and Yasmine is particular on form in the video, singing and moving all over the place. The video's worth a good watch even if you don't usually enjoy this genre of music, if only purely to see the video-graphic pizza at the beginning of the video (although I recommend watching all the way through for full effect).
