Yesterday, the new Red Band Featurette for Kick-Ass 2 was released, and the film is looking like it won't disappoint. The new featurette offers an 'inside look' into what lies in store in less than a week (set to hit cinemas on the 14th). The film focuses on the events of Kick-Ass (2010), with Chris D'amico/Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) adopting a new alter ego 'The Mother Fucker' to avenge his Father's death at the hands of Kick-Ass/Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson).
Chloë Grace Moretz also reprises her role as Mindy Macready/ Hit-Girl who is attempting to lead a 'normal life' but of course things don't exactly go to plan when 'The Mother Fucker' returns and the government decides to clamp down on anyone wearing a mask, including Hit-Girl, Kick-Ass and their friends. Kick-Ass 2 looks set to be outlandish, brash but super hilarious and quirky, and of course the characters are back in full force and no one more so than Hit-Girl. Moretz herself describes the character as 'the coolest 16-yr old that you'll probably ever meet' and 'totally bad-ass', which will please many fans to know the character has still kept her edge. (If you need any more evidence of this, watch above as she flips around, shoots her way out of danger and chops off people's hands, no seriously). This film looks quite frankly off the scale, the costumes are crazy, the language ridiculous and events look set to be action-packed, how excited is everyone? Frankly, I can't wait and really hope it lives up to the hype but it's looking pretty good at the moment. (Hurry up Wednesday!)
