It's finally here. After much anticipation and waiting, the Sherlock Series 3 UK air date has been announced - for none other than New Years Day. The first episode entitled 'The Empty Hearse' will premier on January the 1st, 2 years after Series 2. The second episode of Series 3 of Sherlock will be aired on January the 5th and the third on January the 12th. This will no doubt please fans who have agonisingly waited for the third series starring Benedict 'Otter' Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes and Martin 'Bilbo' Freeman as Doctor John Watson.
