AlunaGeorge - Best Be Believing (Official Music Video) [+ Review]

AlunaGeorge have paired their electronic and manufactured sound with a clinical setting for their new music video for the track 'Best Be Believing.' We've seen our fair share of music videos which pay certain reference to other items of popular culture and media, and this is no exception, as the video is essentially a homage to One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest (1975). The track itself has a relatively upbeat feel, with specific repetition of 'You best be believing/ Best be believing/ nanananana/ nanananananana' which gives it enough of a hook to make it memorable for a listener.

Best be believing is taken from AlunaGeorge's debut studio album, 'Body Music' and is the fourth single from the album. The video features Aluna getting all her fellow patients in the clinical institution up and dancing around. So much so, they don't really concentrate on anything else they're supposed to be doing. Ink blots? Nope, I think I'll do some body-popping instead. The nurses don't look best pleased with Aluna's disruptive behaviour and she eventually finds herself and her friends being hauled off from each other by people dressed in white. Oops. The video's a little on the wild side, but relatively 'playful' and light-hearted in its content. Overall, the track isn't some sort of break-through in musical experimentation, but it's cheerful enough and Aluna has enough appeal to make you watch through the whole video. Oh, and George is in there somewhere too. Sorry George!
