New banners for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013) and new promotional posters for American Hustle (2013) have been released and they are all looking fairly atmospheric. The second part of The Hobbit will be released on the 13th December in the UK and the US and follows Martin Freeman's Bilbo Baggins on his journey with the dwarves, elves and Wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen), as they come face-to-face with Smaug the Dragon (voiced by the delightful Benedict Cumberbatch, who also plays the Necromancer). Firstly, let's take a look at the new banners for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, before we get in deep with the posters for David O' Russell's American Hustle, which features a dream team cast of Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, Christian Bale and Jeremy Renner.
Particularly nimble elf, Legolas (Orlando Bloom) and Chief of Guards for the ElvenKing, Tauriel raise their bow and arrows to not doubt kick some Orc/Dragon butt.
Elvenking Thranduil sits dominantly on his throne. Look at that hair.
Luke Evans as Bard the Bowman, who is a skilled archer - look at that determination.
Wondrous Wizard Gandalf the Grey features solo in his poster, sporting a glazed look in his eye. Watch the most recent trailer for the film below:
Meanwhile, below are posters from upcoming drama film, American Hustle. Christian Bale portrays Irving Rosenfield, a con-man who is begrudgingly forced into assisting the FBI and Bradley Cooper plays Richie DiMaso, an FBI agent who recruits Irving for a sting operation. Also, Amy Adams stars as Sydney Prosser, Irving's mistress and partner in crime, and Jennifer Lawrence stars as Rosalyn Rosenfeld, the rather unpredictable wife of Irving. Also featuring is Jeremy Renner, who portrays Carmine Polito, a political operator and Mayor of Camden, New Jersey. Check out the stars in their roles below:
Delightfully funny and the ever-so charming Jennifer Lawrence sports a slinky white dress and upwards hairdo in her poster.
Christian Bale in his blue tuxedo jacket. Oh Christian.
So, those are the new posters and banners, did they get you pumped up for the upcoming films?
