Thor: The Dark World - New Trailer!

Recently released earlier today, the new Thor: The Dark World trailer looks pretty epic. I hope it lives up to expectations, but considering the quality level of recent Marvel films, I have high hopes. Thor: The Dark World (set to hit cinemas on November 8th later this year) follows on from the events of The Avengers (Assemble), one year later. The new film sees Thor face off against new enemies in order to save the Nine Realms, and reunite with his love interest Jane Foster. Fans will no doubt be excited to see the re-appearance of Loki who Thor must enlist for assistance. In the trailer, we can see that Loki now resides in a nice cushy intergalactic jail cell for his actions in The Avengers (Assemble). If Tom Hiddleston's 'performance' at Comic Con this year is anything to go by, it should be pretty intense to watch. (video below)

But anyway, back to the trailer. So, the trailer begins by some doors opening ominously. Standard. Then we hear the wonderful voice of Tom Hiddleston's 'Loki' speaking to his brother, Thor about how he hasn't been visiting him up until now. Poor Loki. I guess people don't like you when you try and kill your adoptive family and take over/enslave the world. Go figure? Then we see some mysterious forces attacking Earth and Natalie Portman's character Jane Foster looking all terrified.

But don't worry, Thor's here to save everyone. At least they hope he is. A climatic montage of battles, fighting and explosions follows, and a lot of hitting, punching or threatening Loki, from other characters who are no doubt a little cheesed off about what happened. An extensive amount of dramatic music overplays the whole trailer, re-assuring you that this is going to be some pretty epic stuff. Plus lots of good ol' hammer throwing. What more could you want? Watch the trailer and Tom Hiddleston's performance as Loki above.
